No. 6 Women’s Golf in second place after opening round of NCAA Lubbock Regional

O’Keefe and Hsu shoot 2-under 70 to lead Texas on day one of the regional.
LUBBOCK, Texas — The Texas women's golf team got out to a strong start in the opening round of the NCAA Lubbock Regional on The Rawls Course on Sunday and are in second place on the team leaderboard.
The Longhorns made 10 birdies on the back nine, including going 5-under over the final two holes. Texas opened with a 2-over 290. The Longhorns trail only Wake Forest, who carded a 1-over 289. Iowa State is in third place at 10-over, followed by Tennessee and Arizona at 17-over.
Farah O'Keefe, who earlier this week qualified for her second U.S. Open, finished birdie-birdie to shoot 2-over 70 over the opening 18 holes. Cindy Hsu matched that with a birdie on 17 and carded a round of 2-under 70. Bohyun Park made four birdies on her back nine including finishing with a pair of birdies to shoot 2-over 74.

Cindy Hsu went 3-under over her final seven holes and made four birdies in her round of 2-under 70 on Sunday. Hsu is T3 on the leaderboard.
Farah O'Keefe carded four birdies including her birdie-birdie finish for a 2-under 70 on day one of the regional. O'Keefe is T3 on the leaderboard.
Bohyun Park carded four birdies on the back nine and finished birdie-birdie for a 2-over 74. Park is T10 on the individual leaderboard.
Angela Heo birdied five and 14 and finished with a 4-over 76 in her first round of play. Heo is T20 on the leaderboard.
Lauren Kim birdied the par 5, ninth hole and finished with a round of 5-over 77. Kim is T29 on the leaderboard.
