GLEN ALLEN, Va. — Former University of Texas star Tommy Morrison has officially secured his 2027 PGA TOUR card. Morrison placed No. 10 in the final Korn Ferry Tour Points List following the conclusion of Sunday's final round of the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by Virginia's Richmond Region.
The top 20 players on the final Korn Ferry Tour Points List each earn membership on the PGA TOUR for the upcoming season. Morrison earned his PGA TOUR membership 131 days after his final collegiate round for The University of Texas at the 2026 NCAA Championship (June 2). He joined the Korn Ferry Tour after his No. 6 finish in the 2026 PGA TOUR University Ranking.
Morrison opened his professional career by recording five consecutive top-10 finishes. Following a runner-up showing in his third event at The Blue Championship in mid-July, Morrison earned his first professional victory with a win at the Evans Scholars Invitational on July 26. He recorded a 72-hole total of 29-under 255 (65-63-64-63) en route to the victory, setting a tournament scoring record at The Glen Club.
Morrison becomes the third player who earned PGA TOUR membership through the Korn Ferry Tour in the same season they joined the circuit via PGA TOUR University performance benefits, joining Adrien Dumont de Chassart (2023) and Karl Vilips (2024).
