Farah O’Keefe leads Texas with opening round of even par.
MELBOURNE, Fla. — Farah O'Keefe led Texas with an even par 72 and the Texas Women's Golf team is tied for third place after the opening round of the Moon Golf Invitational on Sunday.
The Longhorns carded a team score of 5-over-par. Texas A&M leads the field with a first round 3-under and Auburn is second at 4-over. The Longhorns are tied with Florida and Wake Forest at 5-over.
O'Keefe is tied for ninth on the individual leaderboard and teammate Lauren Kim is T16 after an opening round of 1-over 73. Selina Liao and Cindy Hsu also counted scores for Texas with scores of 2-over 74.
The Longhorns will continue play tomorrow and tee off starting at 8:50 AM CT in the second round of the tournament.
The Lineup
Farah O'Keefe made three birdies on her front nine holes and carded a round of even par 72. O'Keefe is tied for ninth on the individual leaderboard.
Lauren Kim carded two birdies and opened the tournament with a round of 1-over 73.
Cindy Hsu birdied 16 and 18 in her first nine holes and added a birded on hole nine. Hsu carded a round of 2-over 74.
Selina Liao carded two birdies and opened the tournament with a round of 2-over 74.
Alisa Inprasit birdied the par-4 eighth hole and carded a score of 7-over to open the tournament.
