No. 6 Women’s Golf tied for third place after opening round at SEC Championship

Cindy Hsu and Farah O’Keefe put up team-best 2-under 68 on day one.
BELLEAIR, Fla. – The No. 6 Texas Women's Golf team concluded the first round at the SEC Championship on Friday at Pelican Golf Club and are tied for third place.
The Longhorns recorded 3-under 277 in the first round of play and trail Vanderbilt and Texas A&M by one stroke.
Cindy Hsu put up three consecutive birdies from hole 14 to 16 to register 2-under 68 on Friday. Farah O'Keefe added four birdies to finish with 2-under 68 as well. Hsu and O'Keefe are tied at seventh place on the individual leaderboard and two shots back of the lead.
The Longhorns will continue play at the SEC Championship on Saturday at 7:10 a.m. CT on hole 10.
The Lineup
Cindy Hsu recorded five birdies, including three consecutive birdies from hole 14 to 16, to finish 2-under 68 on Friday. Hsu is T7 on the individual leaderboard.
Farah O'Keefe carded four birdies to wrap up round one with 2-under 68. O'Keefe is T7 on the individual leaderboard.
Lauren Kim birdied hole 11 and 18 to put up 1-under 69 on day one of the SEC Championship. Kim is T16 on the individual leaderboard.
Angela Heo added three birdies to finish round one 2-over 72. Heo is T38 on the individual leaderboard. Heo had a stretch where she carded three birdies in four holes from 11-14.
Selina Liao carded a 3-over 73 along with three birdies in day one. Liao is T46 on the individual leaderboard.
