Baseball earns No. 6 national seed for NCAA postseason

Longhorns hosting for 39th time in program history.
AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas has been tabbed the No. 6 overall seed in the NCAA Division Baseball Championship and will welcome second-seeded UC Santa Barbara, third-seeded Tarleton State and fourth-seeded Holy Cross to UFCU Disch-Falk Field for the NCAA Austin Regional, the selection committee announced Monday.
Texas (40-13), which is hosting for the 39th time in program history, will have the opportunity to host the super regional round should they advance. The Austin Regional is paired with the Eugene Regional, hosted by No. 11 overall seed Oregon.
The Longhorns are making their 65th postseason appearance and own an all-time NCAA Regional record of 153-60-1 (.721), including an 110-33-1 (.783) ledger in Austin.
Each regional field features four teams, playing in a double-elimination format. All 16 regionals are scheduled to be conducted from Friday, May 29 to Monday, June 1 (if necessary).
All session tickets will go on sale to Longhorn Foundation donors at the Icon level and above at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 25.
If available, single session tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26.
