Longhorns open campaign at Globe Life Field for fourth time in seven years
AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas baseball team will be one of six programs participating in the 2027 Shriners Children's College Showdown at Globe Life Field from Feb. 19-21, REV Entertainment announced Tuesday morning.
The Longhorns headline the six-team field, alongside Arizona, Clemson, Oklahoma, TCU and Virginia. The matchups and game times will be unveiled at a later date.
Texas took home the tournament's crown in its last Shriners Children's College Showdown appearance in 2025.
The Longhorns finished the 2026 campaign with a 46-15 ledger under second-year skipper Jim Schlossnagle. Schlossnagle guided Texas to its 39th trip to the Men's College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
