Baseball quartet garner D1Baseball All-America honors

Longhorns' four selections match Georgia Tech for most nationally
AUSTIN, Texas — University of Texas student-athletes Dylan Volantis, Sam Cozart, Carson Tinney and Aiden Robbins received All-America distinction from D1Baseball, the publication announced Thursday morning.
Volantis and Cozart were named to the first team, while Tinney and Robbins earned third-team plaudits.
With the honor, Volantis and Cozart have both been tabbed as unanimous All-Americans.
The Longhorns' four selections matched Georgia Tech for the most nationally.

A two-time unanimous All-American, Volantis notched the second-lowest FIP (1.98) and the sixth-best ERA (2.08) in all of Division I Baseball. The sophomore also tied for 10th in WHIP (1.00) and checked in 13th in B/AVG (.189). Volantis posted a 10-2 ledger across 17 appearances, including 16 starts. His 2.03 career ERA paces all qualifying pitchers.
The 2026 NCBWA Stopper of the Year and Freshman Pitcher of the Year, Cozart led all Division I hurlers (min. 50) in WHIP (0.73) and B/AVG (.140). The 6-foot-6, 260-pound right-hander also finished second in ERA (1.72), trailing only UC Santa Barbara's Jackson Flora (1.06). Cozart tallied a 6-0 mark and nine saves, tying for the most of any freshman in the country. The High Point, N.C. native mounted 77 strikeouts across 52 1/3 innings.
Tinney, who garnered second-team recognition from the ABCA/Rawlings and third-team distinction from the NCBWA earlier this month, slashed .326/.483/.688 with 22 home runs, 58 RBI and a team-high 1.171 OPS. Among all SEC qualifying hitters, 6-foot-4, 240-pound backstop tied for first in walks (44), ranked third in on-base percentage (.483), sixth in OPS, tied for sixth in homers and runs (68), ninth in slugging and tied for 11th in total bases (150). Tinney won the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. I Gold Glove at catcher.
The 2026 SEC Newcomer of the Year, Robbins paced the Longhorns in nine offensive categories, highlighted by his 24 home runs, 64 RBI and .696 slugging percentage. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound outfielder totaled a .333 average and 1.122 OPS, which were both second-best on the club. Within the SEC, Robbins checked in tied for second in homers, fifth in total bases (164), tied for sixth in runs (68), seventh in RBI, eighth in slugging, ninth in OPS and tied for ninth in hits (79). The Yardley, Pa., native was also a first-team nod by Baseball America and the NCBWA, while picking up third-team honors from Perfect Game.
