Junior becomes fifth Longhorn to earn prestigious honor in 2026
AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Longhorns standout Casey Borba will compete in the 2026 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp.
Borba joins fellow Longhorns Sam Cozart, Luke Harrison, Anthony Pack Jr. and Dylan Volantis to earn invitations to the prestigious camp in 2026.
USA Baseball is in the midst of a five-game Stars vs. Stripes intrasquad series.
The College National Team, which will be named on July 5 after the conclusion of Training Camp, will then participate in the inaugural World Collegiate Baseball Championship at Taichung City Intercontinental Baseball Stadium in Taichung City, Taiwan, from July 11-15.
Over his first three years on The Forty Acres, Borba has totaled a .268 average with 34 home runs and 121 RBI.
His 34 career blasts are tied for the sixth-most in program history, matching Kody Clemens (2016-18).
In 2026, Borba slashed .266/.365/.554 with 18 homers and 57 RBI, ranking third on the club in both categories this past season.
The junior teamed up with Aiden Robbins (24) and Carson Tinney (22) to become the first trio of Longhorns to register 18 home runs in a single season.
