Men's Golf's Morrison claims first professional victory

Former Longhorn Tommy Morrison earns three-shot win at the Evans Scholars Invitational in just his fourth pro start on the Korn Ferry Tour.
GLENVIEW, Ill. — Former University of Texas star Tommy Morrison carded an 8-under 63 on Sunday afternoon to record a three-stroke victory at The Evans Scholars Invitational on the Korn Ferry Tour at The Glen Club. This marked Morrison's first career professional win in just his fourth start on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Morrison has now registered four top-10 finishes in each of his first four stars on the Korn Ferry Tour this summer since turning professional following the 2026 NCAA Championship. He tied for 10th in his pro debut at the OccuNet Classic presented by Amarillo National Bank. Morrison followed with a tie for fifth at the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS and added a runner-up finish at The Blue Championship.
Morrison posted a four-round score of 29-under 255 (65-63-64-63) to finish three strokes ahead of runner-up Dylan Menante at 26-under 258 (63-64-66-65). He began the day at 21-under with a one-stroke cushion over Menante. Morrison birdied each of his first five holes in Sunday's final round before adding a birdie on 11 and an eagle on the par-four 15th hole to seal his win.
A total of four former Longhorns had impressive showings at the Evans Scholars Invitational. Luke Potter placed fourth at 20-under 264 (66-68-66-64), while Cole Hammer tied for 17th at 16-under 268 (66-70-67-65) and Christiaan Maas tied for 34th at 13-under 271 (68-68-67-68).
