THE MATCHUP — For the final time in non-conference action, Texas plays at the friendly confines of Mike A. Myers Stadium, hosting in-state foe Incarnate Word on Sunday. The Longhorns have faced nine different programs while they were active members of the Southland Conference, but have never faced the Cardinals on the pitch. Against Southland Conference teams, Texas sports a 19-1 (.950) all-time record. The Longhorns' most recent meeting came against HCU on Aug. 12 in the season opener.
SENIOR SENDOFF — As part of Texas' non-conference home finale, the Longhorns will honor their senior class with a pregame ceremony on Sunday. Texas will recognize six players, one student-manager and one sports medicine aide. The Longhorns are set to celebrate Arianna Brothers, Caroline Dill, Bayliss Flynn, Amaya Haley, Callan Harrington and Hannah Tate, as well as Mariza Casarez and Ashley Watt. Texas will also recognize lifetime Longhorns Toni Lopez and EmJ Witt in their final season of collegiate eligibility. The entire Senior Day ceremony will be aired live on Longhorn Network.
LOCK IT DOWN — Texas notched three clean sheets through their first four matches under head coach Margueritte Bates. The 2026 Longhorns are only the second Texas team to have conceded a school-best one goal through four contests alongside the 2008 squad. The Longhorns yielded just 11 shots on goal. Meanwhile, senior Bayliss Flynn became only the second Texas goalkeeper to record back-to-back shutouts in their first two starts as a Longhorn in the program's illustrious 33-year history, joining Dana Hall in 2003.
HOME SWEET HOME — Texas owns a 45-14-9 (.728) record at Mike A. Myers Stadium since the start of the 2020 season. Texas has managed to win double-digit contests at home in three of the last four years, highlighted by a 10-1-2 campaign in 2024. Overall, the Longhorns have posted a 198-65-28 (.729) ledger at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
