Four on Women’s Golf’s earn Golf Channel Preseason All-America honors

Farah O’Keefe, Lauren Kim, Charlotte Naughton and Isla McDonald-O’Brien earn recognition.
AUSTIN, Texas — University of Texas Women's golf seniors Farah O'Keefe and Lauren Kim, junior Isla McDonald-O'Brien and freshman Charlotte Naughton have been named to Golf Channel preseason All-America teams, the network announced Monday morning. O'Keefe was named to the First Team, Kim to the second team, Naughton to the third team and McDonald-O'Brien earned honorable mention. In addition the team earned the No. 3 spot on the team preseason rankings and Naughton earned a First Team All-Freshman team spot.
O'Keefe and Kim both earned Golfweek and WGCA (Women's Golf Coaches Association) All-America honors following the 2025-26 season and return for their senior year at Texas.
O'Keefe is currently ranked No. 3 on the World Amateur Golf Rankings. O'Keefe was the 2026 NCAA individual Champion and earned the 2026 ANNIKA Award, 2026 WGCA Player of the Year, 2026 Golfweek Player of the Year and 2026 Honda Award for golf. O'Keefe set an NCAA record with 12 top-10 finishes in the 2025-26 season and set a Texas single season career for stroke average at 69.84. She won four events and her five total victories are third all-time at Texas. O'Keefe played in three LPGA majors this past season and was the low amateur in the Chevron Championship and the The Amundi Evian Championship.
Kim is ranked No. 19 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. Kim posted six top-10 finishes in the 2025-26 season. Her best finish was a runner-up finish at the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate and she finished T12 at the SEC Championship. Kim played in the U.S. Women's Open and The Amundi Evian Championship as well as the CPKC Women's Open on the LPGA Tour. Kim earned First Team All-SEC honors and Second Team All-America honors from Golfweek and the WGCA. Kim was part of Team International and won the Arnold Palmer Cup for the second straight season. Kim was the runner-up this summer at the Canadian Women's Amateur.
Naughton comes into the season after winning the European Ladies' Amateur Championship and playing in a pair of LPGA event including the AIG Women's Open major. Naughton, a native of Northumberland, England was the youngest member of the Great Britain & Ireland team at the Curtis Cup this summer. Naughton represented Europe at the 2025 Junior Ryder Cup and England in the World Junior Girls Championship. Naughton registered an impressive seven-stroke victory in the Junior Orange Bowl in January, setting a tournament record at 10-under. Naughton advanced to the round of 32 in the Women's Amateur Championship in 2025 and in 2026 finished third in the European Nations Cup.
McDonald-O'Brien, a native of Shrewsbury, England, played in 13 tournaments for the Sun Devils in the 2025-26 season and registered four rounds in the 60's and 13 rounds at par or better. McDonald-O'Brien has been selected to the Curtis Cup Team for Great Britain and Ireland and will compete later this week. She shot the best individual round for Arizona State on the season after an opening 7-under 66 at the Nanea Invitational and finished T14 in the tournament. McDonald-O'Brien recorded 113 birdies to lead the team in the 2025-26 season. In her freshman season she recorded four top-five finishes with a best finish of T2 at the Match in the Desert. McDonald-O'Brien was a member of the England Girls National Team, one of only seven to make the team. She captured the Fairhaven Trophy in 2023, her first individual stroke play win at the international level. In 2023 she competed in the World Junior Girls Championship in a field of the top amateur golfers in the world and finished 28th. McDonald O'Brien made match play at the Women's British and U.S. Women's amateurs this summer.
