Texas named an All-Academic team for having at least a 3.0 cumulative team grade point average.
NORMAN, Okla. — The University of Texas Men's Golf team was recognized as a 2025-26 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award recipient, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Wednesday. Texas was named an All-Academic team for having at least a 3.0 cumulative team grade point average following the completion of the 2026 spring semester.
The Longhorns completed the 2025-26 season with a run to the Match Play quarterfinals at the 2026 NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa in Carlsbad, Calif. Texas claimed four team titles and 11 top-three finishes during its 14 stroke-play events of the 2025-26 season.
With their tie for fifth place at this year's national championship, the Longhorns recorded their 12th top-five finish at the NCAA Championship under the direction of head coach John Fields. Texas owns the nation's longest current streak of consecutive Division I NCAA Men's Golf Championship appearances at 19, dating back to the 2007 season. The Longhorns also have advanced to the Match Play portion (NCAA quarterfinals) of the national championship a total of nine times in their last 14 opportunities, the most nationally in that time window.
