Women’s Golf’s O’Keefe and Kim named Golfweek Preseason All-Americans

Farah O’Keefe named to First Team and Lauren Kim named to Second Team.
AUSTIN, Texas — University of Texas Women's golf seniors Farah O'Keefe and Lauren Kim have been named Golfweek Preseason All-Americans, the media outlet announced today.
O'Keefe and Kim both earned Golfweek and WGCA (Women's Golf Coaches Association) All-America honors following the 2025-26 season and return for their senior year at Texas.
O'Keefe is currently ranked No. 3 on the World Amateur Golf Rankings. O'Keefe was the 2026 NCAA individual Champion and earned the 2026 ANNIKA Award, 2026 WGCA Player of the Year, 2026 Golfweek Player of the Year and 2026 Honda Award for golf. O'Keefe set an NCAA record with 12 top-10 finishes in the 2025-26 season and set a Texas single season career for stroke average at 69.84. She won four events and her five total victories are third all-time at Texas. O'Keefe played in three LPGA majors this past season and was the low amateur in the Chevron Championship and the The Amundi Evian Championship.
Kim is ranked No. 19 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. Kim posted six top-10 finishes in the 2025-26 season. Her best finish was a runner-up finish at the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate and she finished T12 at the SEC Championship. Kim played in the U.S. Women's Open and The Amundi Evian Championship as well as the CPKC Women's Open on the LPGA Tour. Kim earned First Team All-SEC honors and Second Team All-America honors from Golfweek and the WGCA. Kim was part of Team International and won the Arnold Palmer Cup for the second straight season. Kim was the runner-up this summer at the Canadian Women's Amateur.
The Texas women's golf team will open their season Sept. 14-16 at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup in Frisco, Texas.
