Senior collects second weekly league distinction in 2026
AUSTIN, Texas — For the second time this season, Texas Longhorns standout Bayliss Flynn garnered Southeastern Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Flynn was also named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week on Aug. 17. A transfer from Montana, it marks her fourth career weekly league distinction after being tabbed Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Week twice in 2024.
Against No. 19/14 TCU on Sunday, the senior recorded three saves to post a clean sheet in the Longhorns' 1-0 win.
Flynn has posted 4 ½ shutouts in Texas' first seven matches this season. In 588 minutes, the 5-foot-6 netminder has yielded just three tallies, logging a 0.46 goals against average.
