•caught the first four games of the season, calling the pitches for two of Cat Osterman's no-hitters (vs. Syracuse, 2/10 and vs. No. 15 Northwestern, 2/11) and Meagan Denny's one-hitter against Wisconsin (2/10)
•recorded a career-high 17 putouts against Northwestern in Osterman's no-hitter
NATIONALLY
Invited to the 2003 USA Softball Junior National Team tryouts ... played for Impact Gold out of Houston, under head coach Darren Gibson ... was a club teammate of current Longhorn Crystal Saenz and Kori Cook ... Impact Gold finished fourth at the 2005 Under-18 Gold Nationals after a third-place finish in 2004 ... the team also won the 2004 Colorado Fireworks Tournament.
BEFORE TEXAS
A four-year softball letterwinner at A&M Consolidated High School under head coach Shelley Batson ... a three-time all-state and all-district catcher ... shared Texas district 13-5A MVP honors with current Texas teammate Crystal Saenz (at Bryan HS) as a senior after earning team co-MVP honors at A&M Consolidated ... batted .430 as a senior after back-to-back .500 seasons as a sophomore and junior ... never batted lower than .425 in high school ... All-Brazos Valley as a junior and senior ...
