Played in and started seven games … a Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list candidate … caught 38 passes for 559 yards and three touchdowns … hauled in four passes for 59 yards and a score against Louisiana Tech in the season opener … made three catches for 49 yards against No. 6 LSU … returned to the field with six catches for 82 yards against No. 6 Oklahoma in the AT&T Red River Showdown … tallied 96 receiving yards on eight catches versus Kansas … posted his first 100-yard game of the season, and the fifth of his career, when he hauled in seven catches for 101 yards against TCU … logged another 100-yard game with seven catches for 110 yards and a touchdown in Texas’ win over No. 16 Kansas State … recorded three catches for 62 yards and a touchdown in the Valero Alamo Bowl - his final collegiate game - versus No. 11 Utah … The Alamo Bowl extended his streak to 34 consecutive games played with at least one reception, the third-longest streak in school history … He made at least two catches in 40 of the 45 games he played in during his career, the second-most among active Power Five receivers … finished with 2,624 career receiving yards, making him the seventh Longhorn to surpass the 2,500-yard mark.
JUNIOR (2018)
Played in 13 games and made 12 starts … was second on the team with 68 catches for 985 yards and seven touchdowns … caught three passes for 59 yards and a touchdown in the season opener at Maryland … had four catches for 37 yards in the victory over Tulsa … caught six passes for 79 yards in the win over USC … tied his career high with seven receptions and had his third career 100-yard game (124) with a TD in the victory over No. 17 TCU … was named The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Player of the Week for his efforts against the Horned Frogs … had four catches for 51 yards and a touchdown in a road victory at Kansas State … had six catches for 81 yards and a touchdown in the 48-45 win over No. 7 Oklahoma … had 11 catches for 132 yards and a touchdown in the win over Baylor … had five catches for 65 yards in the 38-35 loss to Oklahoma State … had four catches for 47 yards in the 42-41 loss to No. 12 West Virginia … had three catches for 55 yards in the win over No. 18 Iowa State … totaled four catches for 38 yards and a touchdown in the 24-17 road win over Kansas … set a Big 12 Championship Game-record with 177 receiving yards on nine catches with a touchdown in the title game against Oklahoma … had three catches for 40 yards in the Horns 28-21 win over Georgia in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
SOPHOMORE (2017)
Played in 13 games and made nine starts … became the 24th Longhorn in school history to surpass 50 catches in a season, ending the season with 54 (19th-most single season) … totaled a team-best 765 yards receiving with two touchdowns … started his second career game in the season opener against Maryland … caught seven passes for 125 yards and a touchdown from 32 yards out … his 125 yards were a career high and marked his first career 100-yard game … caught two passes for 50 yards in a win against his hometown San Jose State Spartans … had a monster game at No. 4/4 USC, catching seven passes for a career-high 191 yards … his 191 yards were the fourth-most in school history and most by a Longhorn on the road … at the time, his 191 yards were also the most in the Big 12 Conference this season and the sixth-most in the FBS … caught two passes for 27 yards - including a 25-yard reception - in a 17-7 victory at Iowa State to open Big 12 play … had seven catches for 92 yards in the Longhorns’ 40-34 win in double-overtime against Kansas State … had two catches for 26 yards against Oklahoma … caught three passes for 24 yards against Oklahoma State … appeared at defensive back, ending the first half with pass breakup in the end zone, the first of his career … had a team-leading six receptions for 36 yards in Texas’ 38-7 win at Baylor … caught three passes for 49 yards and a touchdown in a loss to No. 10/12 TCU … his touchdown, a 33-yard reception, was his second of the season … led the team with six catches and totaled 63 yards in a 42-27 win over Kansas … surpassed 1,000 career (cont.) receiving yards in the win at WVU, totaling two catches for 12 yards in the victory … caught four passes for 30 yards against Texas Tech … caught three passes for 40 yards in the Texas Bowl win over Missouri … named preseason All-Big 12 by Athlon Sports in 2017.

Played in all 12 games and made one start (West Virginia) … totaled 28 catches for 315 yards and was tied for the team lead with three touchdown receptions … made his career debut against No. 10 Notre Dame, a game which Texas won 50-47 in 2ot … recorded his first career catch in week two against UTEP … had two catches for 16 yards against California … had three catches for 44 yards against OU … had two catches in the game against Iowa State for a total of 21 yards … had four catches for a total of 22 yards, the longest being for nine yards, in the game against Kansas State … had one catch for 40 yards against Baylor … caught four passes for 47 yards and two touchdowns in the Longhorns’ win on the road at Texas Tech … first two touchdowns of his career … just the sixth freshman in school history with two TD catches in the same game and the first since 2008 … caught seven passes, a career-high, for 68 yards, also a career high … had a touchdown, his third of the season to move into a tie for second all-time among UT freshmen … caught four passes for 51 yards against TCU.

Born in Los Angeles, Calif. … son of UT All-America defensive back (1976-79) and College Football Hall of Famer Johnnie Johnson, who played 10 seasons for the Los Angeles Rams … brother, Kirk, is currently a UT running back … uncle and Johnnie’s brother, Bobby, also played defensive back at UT (1978-81) and were teammates … helped for four years at “Camp for the Stars” which is for down syndrome athletes … graduated with a degree in physical culture and sports with a minor in business.
