· Clocked 2:10.61 to qualify 10th in the 200m breaststroke preliminary round

· Captured the 200m breaststroke in 2:09.97 to earn his first spot on the U.S. Olympic Team
· Qualified third for the 200m breaststroke finals by clocking 2:10.38 in the semifinals
· Qualified third for the 200m breaststroke semifinals with a mark of 2:11.88 in the preliminary round
· Placed third in the 100m breaststroke in 1:00.59, missing an Olympic berth by 17 one-hundredths of a second

•took third in the 100 breaststroke (55.86) and the 200 breaststroke (2:02.07) against Michigan and Indiana
AS A JUNIOR (2009-10)
• teamed up with Hill Taylor, Ricky Berens and Jimmy Feigen to place fifth in the 400 medley relay (3:06.08) at the NCAA Championships; split 51.42 on the breaststroke leg
• joined Cole Cragin, Hill Taylor and Jimmy Feigen to take third in the 200 medley relay (1:24.63) at the NCAA Championships; split 23.60 on the breaststroke leg
• placed second in the 100 breaststroke (52.22) and second in the 200 breaststroke (1:53.21) at the NCAA Championships
• took second in the 100 breaststroke (53.56) and fourth in the 200 breaststroke (1:59.48) at the Big 12 Championships

Born May 11, 1988 ... son of Scott and Beth Spann ... father, Scott, was a NCAA champion swimmer under Eddie Reese at Texas and is a member of the UT Men[apos]s Athletics Hall of Honor ... sister, Alexi, swam at Texas (2006-10).
