· Posted NCAA regional mark of 16-6.75 (5.05m) in the pole vault for 12th place at the Texas Relays.
· Took third (16-0.75/4.90m) at the Texas Twilight and fourth (16-0.75/4.90m) at the Texas Invitational.
· Tied for second (15-7/4.75m) at the Hurricane Invitational.
Indoor (Junior)
· Competed in the pole vault at two meets, placing sixth at the Houston Indoor Opener (15-7/4.75m) and seventh at the Hilton Memorial (15-7/4.75m).
2004-05
Outdoor (Sophomore)
· Tied for 15th in the pole vault at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships with a height of 16-7.25, a personal best.
· Participated in the event at the Penn Relays and the Big 12 Championships.
· Captured the Rice Bayou Classic with a clearance of 16-0.75.
· Registered an NCAA regional mark with a height of 16-6.75, good for 12th place at the Texas Relays.
· Claimed the Michael Johnson Invitational with a mark of 16-6.75.
Indoor (Sophomore)
· Leapt 16-6.75 at the New Balance Invitational to win the silver and won bronze at the Father Diamond Invitational by vaulting 15-10.75.
· Went 16-5.5 to tie for 11th at the Big 12 Championships.
· Vaulted 15-7 to place fifth at the Leonard Hilton and 10th at the Houston Indoor.
2003-04
Outdoor (Freshman)
· Claimed silver at the TCU Invitational with a NCAA regional-qualifying mark of 16-4.75.
· Tied for first at the Rice Twilight (15-7) and tied for third at the Hurricane Invitational (15-3).
Indoor (Freshman)
· Vaulted to a second-place finish at the Houston Indoor by clearing 16-6.75.
· Came in fifth at the Leonard Hilton (16-0.75) and tied for fourth at the UNI Invitational (15-5).
· Cleared 15-6.25 at the Big 12 Championships.
Prior to Texas
· Nike All-American and two-time district champion in the pole vault at A&M Consolidated.
· Cleared personal-best 16-10 en route to winning the regional championship as a senior and that mark ranked seventh-best nationally according to Track and Field News among prep pole vaulters.
· Won the district title after clearing 16-0 and placed fifth (15-0) at the 5A state championships.
· Helped lead the Tigers to the district crown as a junior under coach Bobby James.
· Also competed for the Tiger Track Club under his father, Brad McFarling and lettered in football where he played quarterback, cornerback and free safety.
· Member of the Boys & Girls Club and a NASFF Scholar Award (3.5 GPA or higher) recipient.
Personal
Born June 7, 1984 in College Station where father, Brad, was a pole vaulter at Texas A&M in the early 1980s... accounting major (PPA program)... made the Spring 2007 Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll.
