AS A SENIOR (2015)
One of four Longhorns to start all 55 games, serving as the every day right fielder ... Gabaldon set single-season career-highs for runs (18), hits (41), doubles (five) and RBIs (18) while batting .275 overall ... Had a career-high six-game hitting streak from February 14-February 20 ... Managed a sacrifice fly on her “Senior Day” to help Texas beat No. 16/14 Baylor, 5-3 (May 9) ... Picked up four hits, a RBI and two runs scored during the three-game sweep of Oklahoma State (May 1-3) ... Singled in each of the first two games of the series at Texas Tech (April 24-25) ... Recorded a hit, run, and RBI in the 8-0 run-rule victory in game one of the doubleheader against Iowa State (April 18) ... Registered a single and later scored in the 8-0 run-rule victory against UT-Arlington (April 15) ... Capped off a three-run seventh inning rally against Texas State (April 4) with her first career walk-off hit on a two-out single as the Longhorns won 6-5 ... Went a perfect 2-for-2 with a walk and run scored at Texas State (April 3) ... Equaled a career-high in hits with a 2-for-4 effort and posted a pair of RBIs in the 11-5 win at Kansas (March 28) ... Contributed a clutch three-run double in the seventh inning to break a scoreless dead-lock and power Texas to a 5-0 upset of No. 8/7 Georgia at the Mary Nutter Classic (February 19) ... Hit safely in four of the five match-ups (.286 avg.) at the Mary Nutter Classic (vs. No. 8/7 Georgia, No. 12 UCLA, Fresno State and No. 18 Missouri) ... Put up a .429 average with a pair of RBIs during the Texas Classic, and managed two hits each in wins over Wichita State (February 14) and Colorado State (February 15) ... Batted .294 and hit successfully in three of her five starts in right field during the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz. ... Went 2-for-4 with a double and a career-high three RBIs during the 15-0 (5 inn.) rout of UCSB (February 6) and 2-for-4 with a RBI in the 9-4 victory at #16 Arizona State (February 8).
AS A JUNIOR (2014)
Played in 24 games and earned seven starts in left field … pounded out six hits and drew eight walks … scored five runs and drove in four RBIs … smashed first career home run and drove in a season-high two RBIs in a win at Iowa State (April 12) … crashed into the left-field wall to record one out and then made a throw to second base to turn a double play for an outfield assist against LBSU (March 9).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2013)
A valuable option off the bench who set career highs in nearly every category during second year with the program ... started first eight games of career, earning the initial nod in right field six times and as the designated player twice ... team went 6-2 when starting (.750 winning percentage) ... appeared 10 times as a pinch hitter, collecting four base hits (.400 average) ... picked up six of season’s nine runs batted in with two outs (66.7 percent) ... reached base leading off an inning 45.5 percent of the time (five-of-11) ... matched personal best with two runs batted in during the first game of a doubleheader at Kansas (March 29) ... recorded hits in 10 contests and produced a career-long three-game hitting streak from March 8-16 against Texas State and N.C. State ... drove in four runs during Big 12 Conference action and did not have any during 2012 ... started first league game of career in second contest at Kansas (March 29) ... finished the Hilton Houston Plaza Invitational (Feb. 15-17) with a .500 batting average, three runs scored and two batted in ... ended the contest against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Feb. 9) with a triple to right center that drove in Erin Shireman ... triple was first extra-base hit of career ... earned initial career start, as the designated player, against the Islanders in the season opener (Feb. 7).
AS A FRESHMAN (2012)
Played in 21 games as a freshman and was used almost exclusively as a pinch hitter … recorded a hit in back-to-back appearances, against Sam Houston State (March 4) and versus Winthrop (March 14) … registered season-high two runs batted in against Winthrop with pinch-hit two-run single in the fifth frame … collected first collegiate hit against Texas State (Feb. 29) with a fifth-inning RBI single … made Texas debut on Feb. 9 as a pinch hitter against Cal State Fullerton, recording first RBI and run scored.
NATIONALLY
Played club softball for the Odessa Angels and head coach Lazaro Gonzalez … seven-time most valuable player on club squad … named the West Texas USSSA State Championship Tournament MVP in 2007 and earned a place on the event’s 2005 All-Tournament Team.
BEFORE TEXAS
Earned four varsity letters at Permian High School for head coach Lori Haltom … voted Permian Athlete of the Year in 2010 and 2011 … as a senior, named District 3-5A Offensive Most Valuable Player … also received the honor as a sophomore, in 2009 … tabbed by KMID-TV as the March 24, 2011, West Texas MVP … helped the Panthers to a first-place finish in District 3-5A and a trip to the Class 5A regional quarterfinals during final campaign … All-District 3-5A selection at shortstop in 2010 … honorable mention All-District 3-5A in 2008 … named 2010 Permian High School Homecoming Queen.
