Was named a NFCA All-Central Region & All-Big 12 Conference Team selection ... Tabbed to the USA Softball National Collegiate Player of the Year Top 50 Watch List ... Led the Longhorns in HR’s (16 - eighth Big 12) & slugging percentage (.685), while rating second in total bases (102) & RBIs (45) ... Posted a career-long 15-game hitting streak (March 12-April 2) and a career-best 17-game reached base skein (March 6-April 2) ... Reached base safely in 47-of-56 games played ... Managed eight multi-hit and 13 multi-RBI efforts ... Blasted a two-run HR for vital insurance during a 4-2 NCAA Stillwater Super Regional game two win at No. 7 Oklahoma State (May 29) ... AS A JUNIOR (2020 COVID-19 SHORTENED SEASON)AS A SOPHOMORE (2019)
Led the Longhorns in HR’s (11 - ninth in the Big 12), RBIs (43 - ninth in the Big 12), total bases (95), slugging (.594 - ninth in the Big 12) & on-base percentage (.461 - sixth in the Big 12), OPS (1.055) and tied for the team-high with 29 walks on the way to earning NFCA All-Central First Team and All-Big 12 Conference Second Team accolades ... Also ranked second in batting average (.356 - ninth in the Big 12) & hits (57) while playing in 61 games with 60 starts ... Topped the squad with 13 multi-RBI efforts to go with 15 multi-hit performances ... Reached base safely in each of the first 13 games of her Texas career (hit safely in the first eight) ... Her five pick-offs from behind the plate were the most by any Texas catcher single Megan Willis caught 11 runners back in 2007 ... Batted .304 with two HR’s and nine RBIs during NCAA Tournament action ... Blasted a key three-run, third-inning HR at No. 5 Alabama to begin Texas’ rally from a 4-0 deficit to a 7-5 win that forced a deciding game three at the NCAA Tuscaloosa Super Regional ... Was remarkable during the three-game series against No. 1 Oklahoma (April 18-20), hitting at an .800 clip (8-for-10) with two doubles ... Went 3-for-3 with a HR and three RBIs during the 5-0 win over Houston (April 10) ... Blasted two HR’s as part of a 2-for-4, three-run, four-RBI effort against Texas State (April 3) ... Led Texas during the Tennessee Invitational by hitting .545 (6-for-11) with two HR’s and five RBIs, including a key RBI single during the 2-0 upset of the No. 6 Lady Vols (March 17) ... Powered the offense in an 11-4 rout of No. 15 Arizona State (March 1) during the Sun Devil Classic, going 2-for-5 with a HR (part of back-to-back HR’s with Lauren Burke) and four RBIs ... Managed her first career Texas hit, double and RBI in the 8-0 (5 inn.) win over Boise State (Feb. 9) and her initial UT HR in the 9-1 (5 inn.) victory over Boston College (Feb. 10).
AS A FRESHMAN AT OREGON (2018)
A Top 25 finalist for the 2018 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) National Freshman of the Year trophy, Iakopo played in 62 games for the Ducks during her rookie campaign with 56 starts ... The Carson, Calif., native hit .306 overall with 49 hits, 28 runs scored, 20 extra-base hits, including 10 doubles and eight HR’s, knocked in 37 runs and posted a .924 OPS on the way to earning All-Pac-12 Second Team and Pac-12 All-Freshman Team honors ... She managed 10 multi-hit and 10 multi-RBI efforts during her inaugural collegiate season, with a season-high of three hits in match-ups against Fresno State (Feb. 9), UTEP (Feb. 10), Arizona (April 8) and Stanford (April 21), Iakopo registered a season-best four RBIs in contests against both Weber State (March 9) and Arizona (April 8) and recorded an eight-game hitting streak during the heart of the conference season from April 7-April 21 (vs. Arizona, at Arizona State, vs. Oklahoma and vs. Stanford).
USA SOFTBALL
Internationally, Iakopo played for the USA Junior National Team in the summer of 2017, competing at the World Cup of Softball (Oklahoma City, Okla.) and the WBSC World Championship (Clearwater, Fla.).
HIGH SCHOOL
FloSoftball’s No. 8 national prospect coming out of Los Alamitos H.S., Iakopo was a MaxPreps First-Team All-American in 2017 and was selected for the Premier Girls Fastpitch High School All-American Game ... A two-time Sunset League Most Valuable Player (2016, 2017), she hit .373 as a senior with a team-high 26 RBIs and .426 as a junior with eight HR’s and 20 RBIs.
