AS A SOPHOMORE (2021)
Earned a NFCA All-Central Region & All-Big 12 Conference Team selection ... Named to the Top 50 Watch List for the USA Softball Natiional Collegiate Player of the Year award ... Went 16-6 from the circle with a 1.82 ERA (fourth Big 12), 15 complete games, six solo shutouts and 121 strikeouts (eighth Big 12) over a team-high 161.2 innings of work (third Big 12) ... Started the season with a 9-0 record before suffering a loss ... Registered high-profile victories over Wichita State, No. 25 Mississippi State, No. 15 Louisiana, Texas Tech (two). Iowa State (three), Baylor (two), Texas State and No. 7 Oklahoma State ... Struck out five during a complete-game win, allowing two earned runs on three hits to force a decisive game three against No. 7 Oklahoma State (May 29) at the NCAA Stillwater Super Regional ... Tossed 12 scoreless innings while earning a pair of triumphs over Baylor (May 7 & 9) ... Struck out six over six frames of two-hit effort during the win at Iowa State (April 11) ... Was named the Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Week (April 6) for the third time in her career after picking up two victories, posting a 0.00 ERA and striking out 18 over 14 innings of work against Texas Tech (April 1 & 3) ... Struck out nine during a complete-game win over UT Arlington (March 27) ... Scattered five hits and struck out five on March 18 while blanking No. 15 Louisiana, 4-0 ... Opened the season by firing a one-hit shutout in the 8-0 (5 inn.) roout of Wichita State (Feb. 21).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2020 COVID-19 SHORTENED SEASON)
Posted a 6-0 record from the circle with a 1.97 ERA over 10 appearances (10 starts) with four complete games, three solo shutouts and 33 K’s over 49.2 innings of work ... Tossed a four-hit shutout with four strikeouts during a 3-0 win over Liberty (March 7) ... Was magnificent against No. 13 Michigan (Feb. 29) at the Judi Garman Classic in Fullerton, Calif., as O’Leary struck out six, walked one and scattered four hits during a 1-0, complete-game triumph ... Allowed just one run on four hits with three K’s over 6.2 innings of work in Texas’ 2-1 victory over No. 10 Louisiana (Feb. 25) ... Also picked up wins over Wichita State (5.0 IP, 1 ER, 6 K’s) and Weber State (5 IP, 4 ER, 2 K’s) ... Started off her season by firing a one-hitter with a walk and five K’s during the 17-0 (5 inn.) romp over Maryland (Feb. 6).
AS A FRESHMAN (2019)
Was named the Softball America National Freshman Pitcher of the Year, a Softball America Honorable Mention All-American, a top 10 finalist for the Schutt Sports/NFCA National Freshman of the Year, and was both a All-Big 12 Conference Second Team and Big 12 Conference All-Freshman Team selection after posting a 14-3 overall record with a NCAA Division I-leading 0.65 ERA, 14 starts, nine complete games, four solo shutouts and 65 strikeouts over 97.2 innings ... Became the first Texas freshman to start her career at 11-0 overall since Blaire Luna back in 2013 and registered a streak of 42.1 consecutive innings without allowing an earned run from Feb. 10-March 9 ... Tossed the 10th perfect game in Texas history, needing just 63 total pitches to win at Baylor (March 27), 2-0 ... Fired her first career no-hitter during a 9-1 (5 inn.) victory over Longwood (March 6) ... Fired an immaculate inning of three strikeouts on nine straight strikes during the 9-1 (5 inn.) romp of Sam Houston State (Feb. 22) ... Earned her first career NCAA Tournament win in relief by allowing one run on two hits over 5.1 innings during game two against No. 5 Alabama (May 24) at the NCAA Tuscaloosa Super Regional ... Suffered the first loss of her career after allowing two earned runs on two hits over 1.1 frames at No. 21 Oklahoma State (March 30) ... Scattered seven hits, walked two and struck out four during a complete-game, 2-0 upset of No. 6 Tennessee (March 17) at the Tennessee Invitational ... Helped blank NCAA Tournament qualifier Tulsa (Feb. 23), 2-0, with 5.0 innings of two-hit work ... Allowed just one hit over 3.0 frames of relief to get the ‘W’ as Texas ralied past Ole Miss (Feb. 23) at the Texas Invitational, 3-2 ... Struck out a career-high eight over five innings of one-hit effort in a 9-1 (5 inn.) rout of Sam Houston State (Feb. 22) ... Registered her first Texas victory and strikeout during her initial career start in a 9-1 (5 inn.) triumph over Boston College (Feb. 10).

BEFORE TEXAS
A standout right-handed pitcher out of Valencia H.S., O’Leary heads to Texas with 89 career wins, 882 career strikeouts, a 2.04 career ERA and a strong resume full of accolades ... She was twice named to the FloSoftball Top 100 Player list, including a lofty No. 14 ranking in 2017, and was a FloSoftball Second Team All-American selection (2017) ... As a senior at at Valencia H.S. she posted a 1.30 ERA and 288 strikeouts over 214.2 innings on the way to earning a 2018 Premier Girls Fastpitch (PGF) High School All-American Game selection and nods as 2018 Los Angeles Daily News All-Area and the Area Pitcher of the Year … As a junior she managed a 24-8 overall record, a 1.22 ERA, 12 shutouts, including three one-hitters, a no-hitter and a perfect game, and 240 strikeouts over 211.2 innings of work, while picking up numerous additional honors including All-California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section Team, Cal-Hi Sports First Team All-State Underclassman and Second Team All-State, MaxPreps First Team All-State, a co-honor as the Los Angeles Daily News’ Softball Player of the Year and both All-Santa Clarita Valley and All-Foothill League Player of the Year ... As a sophomore in 2016, O’Leary was chosen Cal-Hi Sports Second Team All-State and a part of the Daily News’ All-Area Team after posting 21 wins with eight shutouts, three one-hitters and 217 strikeouts with a 1.80 ERA over 198.2 innings.

Full name is Shealyn O’Leary ... Born July 28, 2000, in Panorama City, Calif. ... Parents are Brian & Carrie O’Leary ... Has one sibling, Blaine ... Her mom played softball at Wichita State as a catcher from 1994-97, while her aunt Kim O’Leary Smith played softball at Pierce College (1995) and for Wichita State (1996-98) ... Her uncle Jeff Brown played baseball at Cal State Stanislaus (1997-98) and for the Sacramento Steelheads of the Western Baseball League (1999), a team managed by Cincinnati Reds legend Pete Rose ... Chose Texas from a list of schools including Ole Miss, Ohio State, Arizona State and Michigan.
