• Placed 6th in the pole vault with jump of 5.18m (17-0.00) at the Longhorn Invitational

PRIOR TO TEXAS
• 4-year letterwinner in track and field at Tivy, where he served as team captain for 3 years
• Placed 4th in pole vault at the UIL 4A State Championships his senior year
• Placed 3rd at the regional meet in the pole vault as a freshman, sophomore and junior
• Was 5th in the event at the 2011 Region 4-4A finals with a clearance of 13-6
• 2-time District 28-4A pole vault champion
• Posted a personal-best clearance of 16-1.00 to finish 3rd at the 2012 Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays
• Also lettered 3 years in football as the quarterback, captaining the team for 2 years
• Was an all-state quarterback his senior year
