OUTDOOR: 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
INDOOR: Jumped on six occasions … opened with a then-personal-best 7.84m/25-8.75 and a win in the long jump at the FasTrak Collegiate Opener … took second in the long jump at the Leonard Hilton Invitational … placed fourth in the 60m and the long jump at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Collegiate Invitational … ran a personal-best 6.85 in the 60m … won the triple jump and took sixth in the long jump at the Razorback Invitational … finished fourth in the triple jump with a season-best 16.56m/54-4 at the Tiger Paw Invitational … won the Big 12 long and triple jump titles … cleared a lifetime-best 8.00m/26-3 on the final long jump attempt of the day to win the title … the second Longhorn (Chris Hercules, 1999) to sweep the Big 12 indoor long and triple jump titles in the same season … ranked No. 3 nationally in the triple jump and No. 6 in the long jump in the pandemic-shortened season … earned USTFCCCA All-America recognition in both events … the second time in his career (2018 Indoor) he earned All-America honors in both during the same season.
2018-19 (Junior)
OUTDOOR: Took third in the triple jump at the Big 12 Championships … followed it up with a second-place effort at the NCAA West Preliminaries … launched himself to a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championships, earning first-team All-America honors.
INDOOR: Earned a second-place finish in the long jump at the Ted Nelson, Clemson and Charlie Thomas invitationals … crowned triple jump champion at the Clemson Invitational and finished second at the Charlie Thomas Invitational … placed eighth in the triple jump at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
2017-18 (Sophomore)
OUTDOOR: Competed in the triple jump and ran on the 4x100m team at the Texas Relays … has a season-best effort of 16.43m/53-11 in the triple jump at the National Relay Championships … qualified for the Big 12 Championships, NCAA West Preliminaries and NCA Championships in the triple jump.
INDOOR: Set a school record in the triple jump (16.82m/55-2.25) en route to winning the NCAA title, the first of his career … also finished 10th in the long jump at the NCAA Championships … placed second in the triple jump at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in the triple jump … took fifth at the Tyson Invitational … won the triple jump at the Texas A&M Quadrangular … recorded a personal-best long jump (7.82m/25-8) en route to winning at the Clemson Opener.
2016-17 (Freshman)
OUTDOOR: Finished second in the long jump as part of 2-3-7 finish for UT at the Big 12 Championships … the 16-point team score from the long jump helped the Longhorns win the team title … finished fourth in the triple jump as well … qualified for the NCAA Championships by finishing 10th in the long jump at the NCAA West Preliminaries … placed fourth in the triple jump at the Texas Relays with a career-best 16.31m/53-6.25 mark, making him the No. 6 performer in school history.
INDOOR: Placed third in the triple jump final at the NCAA Championships with a lifetime-best 16.49m/54-1.25 effort, the fourth-best performance in school history … became just the fourth freshman in NCAA history to jump 16.40m-or-better in the triple jump … finished second in the triple jump at the Big 12 Championships … won the triple jump in his collegiate debut at the Texas A&M Team Invitational … placed second in the triple jump at the Ron McCravy Memorial.
BEFORE TEXAS: A gold medalist in the triple jump and silver medalist in the long jump at the 2016 CARIFTA Games … set the meet record in the triple jump … broke meet record at prestigious Penn Relays in the triple jump as a senior … ISSA Boys’ and Girls’ Championships winner in the long and triple jumps as a senior … set the triple jump meet record at 16.39m/53-9.25 … set Jamaican youth (U18) record in triple jump as a freshman … ranked No. 7 in the world in 2016 triple jump junior (U20) rankings.
