Why Texas?
"The opportunity to row with NCAA champions, learn from an incredible coaching staff, and be part of a team with such a strong culture and commitment to excellence made Texas feel like the right place for me. I also loved the energy and school spirit of Austin and could see myself feeling at home there!! Also I was so ready to say goodbye to cold Minnesota winters!"
What led you to pursue rowing and what do you love most about it?
"My dad rowed in college, so he encouraged me to try the sport and I ended up falling in love with it! I’ve always absolutely loved working out and pushing myself, and rowing is a very hard sport that takes a lot of effort and commitment. I also love that it is a true team sport where everyone in the boat matters! Your teammates are counting on you to do your part, and you are all held accountable to each other. The energy and excitement of rowing makes all the hard work worth it."
