Why Texas?
“I chose Texas because it's the perfect place to push myself athletically and academically. I like the competitive yet supportive environment it projects.”
What led you to pursue rowing and what do you love most about it?
“At the end of 2017, my family and I visited my great-uncle, who had a rowing boat. My dad, who had rowed for his university, encouraged me to hop on the boat and row. He told me I was doing great and since I enjoyed it, I decided to sign up for rowing lessons in mid-2018. Rowing is not only physically challenging, but also mentally and I love feeling like my hard work can overcome those challenges, I also love the family-like bonds it creates.”
