Before Texas
Played three years of varsity soccer in high school with the Cavers.
Why Texas?
“I chose Texas because it’s a great academic and athletic school and being in Austin is awesome.”
What led you to pursue rowing and what do you love most about it?
“I was intrigued by the coxswain position and their impact on the boat. I wanted to be a part of a team and rowing is the ultimate team sport. I learn something new every day and love watching this team grow.”

- Parents are Jimmy and Jennifer Ayala.
- Has a younger sister, Rivka.
- Began rowing at the age of 18.
- Majoring in nursing.
- Enjoys going to the beach, surfing, traveling and hanging out with friends and family.
