Why Texas?
“I chose Texas because of the outstanding academics and incredible team culture. All the girls on the team are so supportive of each other and I wanted to be part of a team that is in the process of making history.”
What led you to pursue rowing and what do you love most about it?
“Growing up, I played several different sports, but theatre was my biggest passion. In high school, my parents forced me to join a sport, so I began rowing for my school’s team. I joined the team and after I completed my first season of racing, I knew I wanted to pursue rowing. It was the ultimate team sport; I was drawn to rowing. Every girl has your back and you put all of your trust and faith into the other girls in your boat.”
