Rowed at St. Andrews School ... started rowing at age 14 ... won silver at Ready Set Row in 2023 ... 2024 recipient of the Coaches Award ... named Delaware Honorable Mention All-Conference in volleyball in 2023 ... tabbed Delaware Second-Team All Conference for volleyball in 2022.
Why Texas?
"Growing up in Austin, I’ve always loved city. However, I went to high school away from home, which gave me a deeper appreciation for my hometown and the Texas culture, especially the rowing team's culture. Returning to Texas for college feels like a full-circle moment. I’m excited to join a community that will help me become the athlete, student and person I want to be."
What led you to pursue rowing and what do you love most about it?
"My mom was actually the one who introduced me to the sport - she said I only had to try a week of it and then I could quit if I wanted. It took me three days to decide that I loved it. I've always been a competitive person, so I love the idea of being able to continue to push myself because as an individua,l you can always get better. However, the thing I love most is how there are other people who are pushing themselves towards the same goal as well."
