Texas-Ex Phil Blackmar captures Champions Tour's AT&T Championship

SAN ANTONIO -- Texas-Ex Phil Blackmar (1977-79) scored his first Champions Tour event victory Sunday, as he edged Texas-Ex Tom Kite, Jay Haas and Andy Bean by one stroke at the AT&T Championship at Oak Hills Country Club.
Blackmar carded a 1-over 72 in Friday's opening round before firing a 4-under 67 on Saturday and an impressive 7-under 64 in Sunday's final round to nail down the win at 10-under par for the tournament. Kite, Bean and Haas each finished at 9-under par.
Blackmar notches his second top-10 finish of the season after tying for seventh at the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship. He was a three-time winner on the PGA Tour.
