Maas, Potter and Morrison all finished in Top 10 of PGA TOUR U Class of 2026 rankings to earn membership on Korn Ferry Tour.
CARLSBAD, Calif. — University of Texas Men's Golf seniors Christiaan Maas, Luke Potter and Tommy Morrison earned membership on the Korn Ferry Tour by virtue of their respective top-10 finishes in the PGA TOUR University Class of 2026 rankings, it was announced earlier this week during the NCAA Championship. Introduced in the fall of 2020, PGA TOUR University identifies the best players in collegiate golf and provides membership opportunities on PGA TOUR-affiliated tours. In partnership with the WAGR, PGA TOUR U ranks players based on the last two years of their collegiate careers. Eligible tournaments include NCAA Division I men's team competitions, official PGA TOUR tournaments and select DP World Tour events. Upon the conclusion of the collegiate golf season, the No. 1 player in the final PGA TOUR University ranking earns PGA TOUR membership. Players No. 2-10 earn Korn Ferry Tour membership, and players finishing 11th through 25th earn exempt membership on PGA TOUR Americas.
Since the inaugural Class of 2021, a total of seven Texas players have earned performance benefits via PGA TOUR University. In addition to Maas, Morrison and Potter, previous Longhorns who have claimed PGA TOUR-affiliated memberships include Pierceson Coody (2022), Cole Hammer (2022), Parker Coody (2022) and Travis Vick (2023).
The Longhorns completed the 2025-26 season with a run to the Match Play quarterfinals at the 2026 NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa in Carslbad, Calif. UT claimed four team titles and 11 top-three finishes during its 14 stroke-play events of the 2025-26 season.
Texas has advanced to NCAA Match Play (final eight teams) in nine of the last 14 opportunities (2012-13-15-16-18-19-22-25-26), dating back to the 2012 NCAA Championship. UT is the ONLY Division I men's program to reach Match Play in at least nine of the last 14 opportunities. The 2020 tourney was canceled due to COVID-19. In addition, Texas, Oklahoma State and Stanford were the only three schools to have their men's AND women's programs advance to the Match Play portion of the NCAA Championship this year.
