Tournament Notes
- With the win, Texas advances to take on the winner of the Army/Boston College game on Sunday at 6 p.m.
- Boston College will take on Army in an elimination game on Sunday at Noon.
- Today's game marked the first time that Texas and Boston College have met on the diamond.
- Boston College is making its 10th NCAA postseason appearance and its first since 1967.
- Texas is making its 53rd NCAA postseason appearance and its 11th straight.
- The attendance for the regional's fourth game was 7,104, marking the highest single game total of the 2009 regional.
- The 25.0-inning game was the longest game in NCAA baseball history. The previous longest game was a 23.0 inning game played between Louisiana-Lafayette and McNeese State on March 27, 1971. ULL won the game 6-5.
- The game also marked the longest NCAA postseason game in history. The previous longest game was a 19-inning contest between Clemson and Fordham at the NCAA Northeast Regional in New Britain, Conn. on May 26, 1988.
- Texas and Boston College combined to set NCAA records with 42 strikeouts, 222 total chances, 69 assists, 192 plate appearances and 171 at-bats.

- The crowd of 7, 104 for the BC/Texas game was the largest crowd the Eagles have played in front of this season.
Individual Notes
- Designated hitter/pitcher Mike Belfiore's single in the fourth extended his current hitting streak to six games.
- Centerfielder Robbie Anston's leadoff double in the sixth extended his current hitting streak to eight games.
- Anston's run scored in the sixth was his 55th run scored of 2009, moving him into a tie for fourth place in the BC single-season record book. He is currently tied with Johnny Ayers (2006).
- Third baseman Mickey Wiswall's single in the fourth was his 79th hit of the season, moving him into third place on the BC single-season hit list.
- Belfiore set new career-highs against Texas, tossing 9.2 innings and fanning 11 Longhorns.
- Shortstop Barry Butera registered two hits to notch his 21st multi-hit game of the season.
- Catcher Tony Sanchez's single in the 19th inning extended his current hitting streak to seven games.

- The Longhorns win moves their all-time NCAA Regional record to 89-34.
- Texas is now 27-13 in NCAA Regional action since Augie Garrido came to Texas in 1997.

- In 36 home games in 2009, Texas has allowed just one run in the first inning. The Horns held the Eagles scoreless in the first frame on Saturday.

- Travis Tucker and Michael Torres set the NCAA single-game record for at-bats with 12 AB's against BC.
- Preston Clark's 33 putouts against BC set a new NCAA record for most single-game putouts.
- Austin Wood's 13.0 innings of relief and 14 strikeouts set new career-highs for the senior southpaw. He threw 12.1 innings before allowing his first hit with two outs in the 19th inning.
- Third baseman Michael Torres' single in the third extended his current hitting streak to eight games, tying his longest streak of the year.
- Shortstop Brandon Loy's two hits against BC, gave the freshman his 14th multi-hit game of the season.
- With his start against BC, second baseman Travis Tucker notched his 179th start of his career, moving him into a tie for eighth place with UT legend Brooks Kieschnick (1991-93) in the career record book.
- First baseman Preston Clark's four-hit, three-double outing marked his ninth multi-hit game of the season and set a new career-high for doubles in a game.
- Leftfielder David Hernandez's two-hit effort against the Eagles marked his sixth multi-hit performance of 2009.
- Designated hitter Brandon Belt equaled a season-high by drawing three walks against the Eagles.
