AMES, Iowa -- Junior defender Lucy Keith scored her third gamewinner of the season in the 84th minute to give Texas a 2-1 victory at Iowa State on Sunday afternoon. Junior Amanda Lisberger also recorded her third goal of the year and junior Kylie Doniak posted two assists to help move Texas to 10-3-3 on the season and 3-2-2 in league play. Iowa State is now 6-9-2 and 1-6 in Big 12 action.
Lisberger got the Longhorns on the board in the 19th minute. Texas had a free kick opportunity from midfield that sophomore goalkeeper Alexa Gaul served into the box and found Doniak. Doniak then flicked it over to Lisberger who was streaking in and fired it over the keeper for the 1-0 lead.
Despite Iowa State pulling even in the 41st minute off a goal from Theresa Kucera, Texas continued to pressure and was able to connect in the 84th minute off of another free kick opportunity. Doniak took the kick, which was near the corner, and served a high ball into the middle of the box where Keith was able to get above the ISU defense and head it in for the win.
Doniak's two assists in the match were a career-high and move her season total to nine, tying for sixth in UT's single-season record book. Gaul picked up the win and posted five saves while also recording her first assist of the season.
The Longhorns have now won three-straight and are unbeaten through the last four matches, marking the longest unbeaten streak since a six-match stretch in October of 2008.
Texas returns to Austin next weekend for home matches against nationally-ranked Oklahoma State (Friday, Oct. 22, 7 p.m.) and Oklahoma (Sunday, Oct. 24, 7 p.m.).

POST MATCH QUOTES
Head coach Chris Petrucelli
On the weekend: Well we needed those six points and I think more than anything we were really mentally tough, especially today. We were able to gut it out.
On giving up a goal but still getting the win: The best thing about it is that we made a mistake and never really wavered. We continued to play hard and fight as hard as we could. We were tired as they were and they put up a great fight but we were able to sneak out of there with the win.
On Kylie Doniak picking up three assists on the weekend: She's been serving really good balls. She gives us a chance off of her service and she certainly does a good job at winning the ball in the air and getting her foot on it in the box. She's got a lot of qualities that have been really effective.
