POST-ROUND QUOTES
Head Coach Martha Richards
On the team's overall performance: I think today is both disappointing and frustrating. We've had good weather to prepare and we worked hard at home in practices, but we're not getting it done. We have got to find a way to get better. You can only say you're young for so long, and we're past that. The time has come for us to find a way to shoot lower numbers. We need to grow up and choose the direction we're going to go in. I believe in this group, but it's time for us to start playing like we're capable of.
On the play of freshman Desiree Dubreuil: Desiree had a good, steady round of golf. She has a lot of fight in her, and she saved some pars with some good up-ands downs. She was our rock today, our one steady constant.
On what she expects to see in tomorrow's round: I've asked the team to show us what we're made of tomorrow. We've talked the talk long enough, but it's time to walk the walk and let our sticks do the talking.
