Gribble named to GCAA All-Freshmen Team

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Texas freshman Cody Gribble has earned one of five spots on the GCAA (Golf Coaches Association of America) National All-Freshman Team.
Gribble (Dallas, Texas) posted top-10 individual finishes in seven of 13 events this season. Gribble tied for third last fall in his first collegiate event, the Olympia Fields Invitational. He went on to take second at last October's Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate and third at the UTSA Lone Star Invitational.
Gribble notched four top-10 showings this spring, as he took second in the Puerto Rico Classic, fifth at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters and third at the NCAA East Regional Championship. He also tied for eighth place at the Aggie Invitational. Gribble finished with a 72.03 stroke average for the season.
