Texas-Ex Jhonattan Vegas wins Nationwide Tour's Wichita Open

WICHITA, Kan. -- Texas-Ex Jhonattan Vegas rallied from a six-shot deficit to win the Nationwide Tour's Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open Sunday afternoon at the Crestview Country Club.
Vegas, a four-year letterwinner at Texas (2004-07), trailed 54-hole leader Roberto Castro heading into Sunday's final round before shooting a 7-under 64 to seize a 1-stroke victory, his first as a professional. Vegas had registered rounds of 65, 68 and 67 leading up to his 64 in the final round.
It marks Vegas' second top-five showing and third top-10 finish on the Nationwide Tour this year. He took second at the South Georgia Classic in April and tied for seventh at the Prince George's County Open in June.
