DURBAN, South Africa -- Texas Men's Golf signee Brandon Stone won the Pro Shop 2012 KZN Open Stroke-play Championship in Durban, South Africa, on Sunday. Stone, the top-ranked amateur in South Africa and the 19th-ranked amateur in the world by Golfweek, turned in scores of 69, 71, 69 and 71 for a first-place aggregate score of 280.
The win comes just days after Stone successfully defended his title at the Princes Grant Amateur in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. Stone's rounds of 71, 68, 66, and 69 gave him a tournament total of 274 and a 10-stroke victory over the second place finisher.
