The Longhorns make their way from Baton Rouge to Lafayette for the Louisiana Classic.
LAFAYETTE, La. -- Coming off their season-opneing victory on Thursday night against No. 17/19 LSU, the No. 10/10 Texas Longhorns heads\ to Lafayette to open play in the three-day Louisiana Classic. On Friday UT will take on North Carolina at 11:30 a.m. and tournament host No. 13/15 Louisiana Lafayette at 4:30 p.m.. Live stats will be availale for both contests and a webstream and live audio will be provided for the Texas-Louisiana Lafayette contest.

NO. 10/10 Texas VS. RV/-- NORTH CAROLINA
- UT holds a 3-1-1 mark in the all-time series against UNC.
- Texas and North Carolina are meeting for the sixth time and for the first time since the Longhorns defeated the Tar Heels, 1-0, in eight innings on Feb. 12, 2010 in Austin.
- The series dates back to an 8-0 Texas win in five innings back on March 14, 1998 in Austin.
- All three UT wins have come at Red & Charline McCombs Field.
- UNC's last win in the series was in 2008 Spring Fling Tournament down in Honolulu, Hawai'i. The Tar Heels handed the Longhorns a narrow, 2-1, loss on March 12, 2008 before the teams ended in a 1-1 tie at the tournament three days later (March 15, 2008).
NO. 10/10 TEXAS VS. #13/15 LOUISIANA LAFAYETTE
- Texas and Louisiana Lafayette will meet two times during this weekend's Louisiana Classic. It will be the 11th and 12th meetings between the teams and the first time they have played against one another in Lafayette.
- UT owns an 8-2 all-time record in the head-to-head series with the Ragin' Cajuns.
- The Longhorns have won each of the last three meetings, all of which were played last season. UT won 7-2 on March 2, 2013 at the Citrus Classic in Kissimmee, Fla. before sweeping the Ragin' Cajuns in a doubleheader in Austin by scores of 9-4 and 7-1 on March 6, 2013.
