FORT WORTH, Texas – No. 4/3 TCU (5-0, 2-0 Big 12) posted a 50-7 win over Texas (1-4, 0-2 Big 12) Saturday afternoon at TCU's Amon Carter Stadium.

Texas forced a three-and-out on TCU's first possession, but on the Longhorns' ensuing possession, TCU recovered a Daje Johnson fumble and took over at the Texas 45.

Four plays later, TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin found KaVontae Turpin for a 13-yard score to stake the Horned Frogs to a 7-0 lead. Michael Dickson lined up for a Texas punt after the Horns' next possession, but the snap sailed over his head and into the end zone. Texas recovered the ball, but the play resulted in a safety and two points for TCU.

The Horned Frogs stretched their lead to 16-0 when Boykin found Josh Doctson for a 15-yard touchdown with 9:48 remaining in the first quarter. Texas and TCU traded punts before Boykin found Turpin again for a 49-yard touchdown that pushed the Horned Frogs lead to 23-0. TCU assumed a 30-0 lead behind a 29-yard halfback pass from Shaun Nixon to Doctson with 26 seconds remaining in the first quarter.

Texas advanced deep into TCU territory on a pair of first-half drives but failed to convert either into points. Running back D'Onta Foreman led off the first drive with a 15-yard run and gave Texas a fresh set of downs on the next series with three yards on third down. Quarterback Jerrod Heard found Foreman for 22 yards to the TCU 22, but the possession ended with an errant 39-yard field goal attempt from Nick Rose.

The Longhorns depended heavily on their backfield again on their next drive. Texas advanced 74 yards on 19 plays but failed to capitalize. As was the case on the previous drive, D'Onta Foreman extended the drive early on and converted a third-and-six with a 15-yard run. Foreman gave Texas a first down at its 33-yard line before Heard found wide receiver Armanti Foreman for seven yards. Later, on third and five from the TCU 48, Heard hit D'Onta Foreman for 10 yards to the TCU 38.

Faced with a third-and-13, Heard scampered 12 yards to the TCU 29, and Gray muscled his way for four yards on fourth down to the TCU 25. The Horned Frogs yielded nothing further, and Rose's 40-yard field goal attempt sailed wide left.

TCU quickly capitalized just before halftime when Boykin hit Turpin for 50 yards, good for their third touchdown connection of the day and a 37-0 TCU lead.

Boykin hit Turpin for a 12-yard touchdown pass to open the third quarter and push the TCU lead to 44-0. The Horned Frogs' Jaden Oberkrom booted a 23-yard field goal near the end of the third quarter and added a 41-yarder in the 4^th quarter for a 50-0 lead.

Quarterback Tyrone Swoopes relieved Heard in the fourth quarter and marched the Longhorns 93 yards to their lone score. D'Onta Foreman carried for 15 yards to the UT 22 before Swoopes hit wide receiver John Burt for 36 yards to the TCU 42. A TCU personal foul on the play moved the ball to the TCU 27, and three plays later, a pass interference call gave Texas a first down at the Horned Frogs' 21.

Swoopes hit wide receiver Lorenzo Joe down the middle for a touchdown on the next play to put the Horns on the board and provide the final 50-7 margin.
