• The Longhorns are coming off their second Big 12 sweep of the season over Oklahoma (25-22, 25-19, 25-15) to start the second half of conference play in Austin. Four players posted six or more kills hitting .282 or better in the match, freshman Micaya White leading with 14. Freshman Claire Hahn led in digs for her second-straight match in double-digit digs with 10 and sophomore Morgan Johnson led with five blocks.
• No. 2 Texas and No. 6 Kansas will meet for the fourth time when both teams are ranked in the top-10. The Longhorns won the previous meeting in Austin, 3-1 on September 24 (27-25, 25-16, 18-25, 25-19). Other than that match, both teams have gone undefeated in conference play.
• Texas owns a 95-43 (.688) record against ranked opponents over the last 11+ seasons (2004-16) The Horns are 2-2 against ranked opponents this year (defeated No. 6 Kansas and No. 16 Texas A&M, fell to No. 6 Wisconsin and No. 1 Nebraska).
