AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas soccer program will conclude its 2016 spring schedule on Sat., April 16, as the Longhorns venture to face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at Dugan Stadium in Corpus Christi, Texas, for a 1:30 p.m. CT kick-off.
In its other full-sided exhibition of the spring campaign, UT roared past Monterrey Tech at Mike A. Myers Stadium back on February 24 by a score of 5-2 as Morgan Murphy, Kayra Dollas, Julia Dyche, Alexa Adams and Katie Glenn each scored single goals.
Texas is coming off an 8-6-4 campaign in 2015 that saw the Burnt Orange & White finish third in the Big 12 Conference with a 4-3-1 overall mark while securing a berth in the Big 12 Championship quarterfinals. For next fall's campaign, the Horns will be returning 15 players that combined last season for 62 percent of the total goals (13-of-21), 65 percent (11-of-17) of the total assists and 63 percent of the total points scored (37-of-59). UT is also welcoming in a signing class that includes seven standout freshmen and a pair of talented goalkeeper transfers.
Admission to Saturday's match at Dugan Stadium between the Longhorns and the Islanders is free to all who wish to attend.
