Notes:
• No. 3 Texas is coming off a heavy week, featuring three wins in seven days, including two wins over ranked teams to stay undefeated in Big 12 play. The Longhorns defeated TCU, 3-0 in Fort Worth last Sunday, No. 9 Kansas in Lawrence, 3-2 on Wednesday night, and No. 23 Iowa State back home, 3-0 on Saturday night.
• Through six matches in conference play, sophomore Micaya White (79-17-207, .300) and freshman Lexi Sun (73-19-162, .333) lead the Longhorns in kills, freshman Ashley Shook leads in assists 235 (10.68/set), senior Cat McCoy leads in digs (88, 4.00/set), and senior Chiaka Ogbogu leads in blocks (36, 1.64/set).
• Texas continues to lead the nation in blocks at 3.39/set, having outblocked every opponent but one and all six opponents in conference play. Ogbogu ranks third in NCAA Division I with 1.68 blocks/set, while junior Morgan Johnson is 28th with 1.40 blocks/set.
• Nearing the halfway point of the Big 12's round-robin schedule, the Longhorns remain the Big 12's only undefeated team. Matches against Oklahoma (13-6, 2-4) and Texas Tech (13-6, 2-4) represent the last new opponents for the Longhorns until postseason play.
• With an .831 winning percentage (250-51) after 300 Big 12 Conference play matches over the last 10 seasons, the Longhorns are 177-34 (.839 winning percentage) all-time in Big 12 home matches.
• Texas received its sixth and seventh Big 12 weekly honors with senior Chiaka Ogbogu being named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week and freshman Lexi Sun being named Freshman of the Week for the week of Monday, Oct. 16th. It marked the seventh honor of Ogbogu's career and second this season, and the third for Sun.
