Men’s Golf’s Hossler earns PGA Tour card

Longhorn Beau Hossler will join four Texas alumni on the Tour next year.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Men's Golf alum Beau Hossler (2013-16) earned his 2018 PGA Tour card on Sunday at the Web.com Tour's regular season finale on Sunday.
Hossler finished in a tie for 19th at the WinCo Foods Portland Open with a 23rd place finish on the money list after beginning the season with no status.
In 11 events on the Web.com tour, Hossler earned two runner-up finishes and made 10 cuts.
Hossler will join Longhorns Jordan Spieth, Cody Gribble, Jhonattan Vegas, and Bob Estes on the 2018 PGA Tour.

On getting his TOUR Card: It's a dream come true. It was certainly a stressful couple hours waiting to see if I was going to be in or not. But yeah it was a stressful tournament.
On getting his TOUR card after the injury: It's amazing to go from a Monday qualifier in Wichita to getting my card here. I feel like golf is kind of the ultimate game of if you play well you'll be successful and you control your own destiny. So it was nice to have it all come together
On what he's most looking forward to: I've been out there and played a little bit, so I'm just looking forward to consistently having a place to play and hopefully playing really well at the next level.
