The Longhorns haven't been ranked this highly since September of the 2010 season and haven't been ranked this highly for their eighth game of the season since 2009, when they were ranked No. 3/2 for a game at No. 13/13 Oklahoma State.
• Oklahoma State also enters Saturday's game coming off a bye week. The Cowboys are 4-3 overall and 1-3 in the Big 12 Conference. OSU has wins over Missouri State, South Alabama, Boise State and Kansas so far in 2018, with losses to Texas Tech, Iowa State and Kansas State.

The All-time Series
• The Longhorns and Cowboys meet for the 33rd time on Saturday night in Stillwater. Texas owns an all-time record of 24-8 against OSU.
• Oklahoma State has won three straight in the series, including last season's 13-10, overtime victory in Austin.
• Texas owns an all-time record of 8-2 in Stillwater against the Cowboys.
• Tom Herman enters the game with a career record of 0-1 against Oklahoma State. OSU's Mike Gundy is 6-7 all-time against the Longhorns.
Six Straight
• Texas has won six consecutive games for the first time since the 2013 season in which they won six straight after a 1-2 start.
• The current winning streak is tied for the Longhorns' longest since winning the first 13 games of the 2009 season.
Five Straight Weeks Ranked
• Texas enters Saturday's game ranked for the fifth consecutive week, their longest streak since being ranked in the AP poll for six straight weeks to begin the 2012 season.
• UT enters the game ranked inside the AP Top 10 for the third straight week, their longest stretch since being ranked inside the Top 10 for each of the first four games of the 2010 season.
Two-Headed Monster
• Junior wide receivers Lil'Jordan Humphrey and Collin Johnson have combined for 83 receptions for 1,139 yards and nine touchdowns so far this season.
• Forty FBS teams have at least one receiver with 40-plus catches so far this season, but Texas is one of just six to have two receivers with 40-or-more catches.
• The six schools are TEXAS, Ball State, Hawaii, Ole Miss, Ohio State and Texas Tech.
• Just 24 times in school history has a UT pass catcher had 50-or-more receptions in a season. Humphrey (42) and Johnson (41) are on pace to become just the eighth WR duo to both eclipse that mark in a season (also 1998, 1999, 2007, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2014).
Lil'Jordan, Big Impact
• Lil'Jordan Humphrey leads the team with 42 catches for 576 yards and has four receiving touchdowns, but his impact has gone far beyond just catching the ball this season.
• In addition to his four receiving touchdowns, Humphrey also has a passing and a rushing touchdown.
• The last Longhorn to register at least one passing, rushing and receiving touchdown in the same season was QB David Ash in 2011. The last non-quarterback to do so was Darryl Clark in 1982.
• Humphrey is just the fourth Longhorn since 1980 (Ash, 2011; Peter Gardere, 1992; Darryl Clark, 1982) to record at least one passing, rushing and receiving touchdown in the same season and just the eighth in that time span to do it in their career (Jerrod Heard, 2015-active; Ash; Ricky Williams, 1995-98; Curtis Jackson, 1992-94, '96; Gardere; Eric Metcalf, 1985-88; and Clark).
Johnson On A Roll
• Collin Johnson caught 11 passes for 132 yards and a touchdown the last time out against Baylor. The 11 receptions were the sixth-most in school history.
• Johnson now has 41 catches for 563 yards and a team-best five touchdowns this season. He has a TD reception in four straight games.
• For his career, Johnson has 123 receptions for 1,643 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Sterns Starting Strong
• True freshman safety Caden Sterns has started each of the first seven games, totaling 26 tackles, four interceptions, a blocked field goal and a pass breakup.
• He had two interceptions against TCU and was named Thorpe Award Player of the Week, as well as Big 12 Newcomer of the Week, for his effort.
• He also has interceptions against Tulsa and Baylor, while his blocked field goal against USC was returned for a touchdown by Anthony Wheeler.
• He was the first true freshman at UT with two interceptions in a game since DeShon Elliott (2015) and just the third ever.
• His four interceptions are tied for the most among true freshmen in school history with Quandre Diggs (2011) and Chris Carter (1993).
• Sterns is the first true freshman defensive back at Texas to start seven games in a season since 2015 when Holton Hill started the final eight.
• He is the first true freshman defensive back to start each of the first seven games of his career since Blake Gideon started all 13 at safety in 2008.
Omenihu Changing The Game
• Defensive end Charles Omenihu has had a huge impact in changing games the last three weeks. After totaling just one sack and one quarterback hurry in the first four games, Omenihu has 5.0 sacks, 7.0 tackles for loss and four quarterback hurries the last three weeks.
• Against Kansas State, Omenihu had five tackles, three for loss and two sacks (one forcing a safety).
• Against Oklahoma, he had three tackles, two for loss and a sack.
• In the win over Baylor, he totaled three tackles, two for loss, two sacks and a monstrous four quarterback hurries.
