TUCSON, Ariz. – Texas freshman Kaitlyn Papp fired a three-under-par 141 (69-72) as the No. 7 Longhorns women's golf team stands in third place with a two-under-par two-round total of 574 (282-292) through the first 36 holes of The Wildcat Invitational hosted by the University of Arizona at Sewailo Golf Club.

No. 2 UCLA holds the team lead with a 14-under-par two-round total of 562 (278-284), while host Arizona is in second with a four-under par 572 (284-288).

The Longhorns led the tournament field with a scoring average of 4.78 (-9) on par-five holes. Texas also recorded 36 birdies on the day as a team, which was second among the field.

Papp is currently in a tie for fifth place in the individual standings with a three-under-par 141 (69-72). Her first-round 69 marked her fourth sub-70 round of the season. Papp was third among the tournament field in birdies with 10. She is currently eight strokes off the individual lead held by UCLA's Lilia Vu at 11-under-par 133 (64-69).

Sophomore Greta Isabella Voelker (72-71) is in a tie for 12th place with a one-under-par 143 (72-71), while freshman Agathe Laisne is tied for 15th with an even-par 144 (72-72).

Junior Maddie Luitwieler is in a tie for 27th with a two-over par 146 (69-77). Her 69 in the first round was a career-best and the first sub-70 round of her collegiate career. Sophomore Emilee Hoffman is in a tie for 49th place with a two-round total of 150 (73-77).
