Leaving Raleigh with this NCAA Regional Championship feels really good. I know our guys are really happy about it and they should be. They played really good golf. It's the first one of several accomplishments we still have to do this year. I'm excited for them. I think everyone thinks what we do sometimes is really easy, but when you're managing guys that are playing in PGA Tour events, like Scottie and Doug, and then up for all kinds of awards, not to mention graduation, it's very exciting for them to go do something like this. For our younger guys, they came up big today. Drew Jones' 66 was outstanding as a redshirt freshman. Steven's 69 was super solid, and Spencer Soosman had a big number early and came back to play great golf. All of them have a lot to be proud of. We have a lot of work to do. We want to be prepared when we get to Stillwater in a week and a half. We are looking forward to doing better things when we get there.

On the win: I have played three of these already and the last two have been really close—there was a guy that birdied the last four holes on me my sophomore year and last year, Nick Voke shot 61 and I wasn't even aware of it. It feels pretty good to play the way I did. I was just thinking in my head, there has always been a guy that has gone off to win, so I was thinking if there is going to be a guy, it might as well be me. I really tried to push it while being patient. I gave myself some good opportunities on the back nine, I knew there were some birdies out there after the first day. I was lucky enough to hole a lot of good putts. I was trying to distance myself as much as possible from the field and it feels good doing that.
On winning two-straight tournaments: It means a lot to me to be playing for Texas and to know that I only have one event left. It's crazy. Four years of golf is flashing before my eyes and I want to do the best I can to have a good taste in my mouth when I leave. I think we have a special group of guys—they are starting to play really good golf. This is the first win of our season and this is the best time for it. I want to leave school knowing that I did everything that I wanted to do. I think we made a huge step in the right direction today.
