PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Texas Men's Golf freshman Cole Hammer earned co-medalist honors at the 2018 U.S. Amateur after firing a 69-68 to advance to the match play portion on Tuesday.
Hammer finished 6-under par to tie with Daniel Hillier. He will face Alvaro Ortiz in the round of 64 to kick off the match play portion of the event at 1:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Aug. 15. The event will be televised on FS1 beginning at 4 p.m. CT.
