NOTES
-Texas improved to 5-1, opening its home season with wins over Texas State and No. 16 Kentucky. Junior Micaya White led the Longhorns with 28 kills (4.00/set) hitting at a .377 clip, also with 21 digs (3.00/set). Freshman Logan Eggleston was not far behind with 24 kills (3.43/set), 10 digs (1.43/set), five blocks (0.71/set), and three aces (0.43/set). Freshman Katarina Luketic led UT in blocks, finishing with eight in the Kentucky match (2.00/set), and freshman Sydney Petersen led in digs with 23 in two matches (3.29) and three aces (0.43/set).
-The Longhorns have faced four ranked opponents in six matches in their non-conference, owning a 3-1 record over them. Texas has defeated the No. 7, No. 16, and No. 18 teams and fell to No. 6 Wisconsin in Madison.
-Texas ranks fifth in Division I in hitting percentage at .304, with Brionne Butler leading the Longhorns with the country's ninth-best mark at .449 and Morgan Johnson rounding out the top-100 at .354.
-The Longhorns also rank in the top-10 in blocks in NCAA Division I at 2.87/set. Johnson leads UT with the country's 34th-best mark at 1.39/set, while Butler is not far behind at No. 65 with 1.26/set. Katarina Luketic is averaging 20 blocks (1.33/set) in the four matches she has played in.
-Freshman Sydney Petersen has 14 or more digs in five of UT's six matches, including a season-high 19 against Florida. She has led the Longhorns in five of six matches this season.
-Junior Micaya White finished last week with 28 kills (4.00/set), hitting .377, and 21 digs (3.00/set). She has led Texas in kills in four of six matches.
-Freshman Logan Eggleston also had an impressive week with 24 kills (3.43/set), hitting .396 and five blocks (0.71/set).
