HEAD COACH RYAN MURPHY
"This was a solid start to our season. We competed with and beat some of the best teams in the country. We are capable of winning events like this but, ultimately, this just wasn't our week. Our time is coming soon."
On the play of sophomore Kaitlyn Papp and junior Emilee Hoffman …
"I'm very proud of Pappy and Em. They both had nice showings here and they are both stepping into leadership roles nicely. They contribute so much to our team and I could not be happier with them."
On sophomore Agathe Laisne rebounding from a tough opening round to play well in the final two rounds …
"Agathe's 68 in round two was big for us. She didn't play well in round one, but bounced back in a big way. It kept us in the tournament. You'll see more and more of that from Agathe."
On freshman Sára Kousková's first collegiate tournament …
"Sára's first two rounds were very solid for her first tourney with us and helped us maintain our position. She's stinging from today's round, but there's more to come from this young woman."
On freshman Hailee Cooper finishing at two-under par and tying for 18th in her first collegiate tournament …
"Hailee played well this week. A top-20 in her first collegiate start in that field is very impressive. There will be plenty more from Hailee through this season. She is immensely talented."
