NOTES
-Texas suffered its first loss of the season at No. 8 Wisconsin in front of a sold-out crowd of 7,052 on Saturday, but bounced back with a sweep on High Point on Sunday. The Horns have played three ranked opponents in their first four matches.
-Freshman Brionne Butler finished the weekend with 20 kills (.515) and 10 blocks to earn a spot on the HotelRED All-Tournament Team with junior Micaya White and freshman Sydney Petersen.
-Junior Micaya White has recorded double-digit kills in all four matches, averaging 3.50 kills/set at a .244 clip. Her efforts have landed her on both All-Tournament teams in addition to being named ESPNW Player of the Week last week.
-Freshman Brionne Butler posted the best match of her rookie season against High Point, leading the Longhorns in both kills (12) and blocks (7). Her weekend earned her the first honor of the season as she was named to the HotelRED All-Tournament Team. Through four matches, she is averaging 2.19 kills/set at a .475 clip and 1.38 blocks/set--the team's second best mark (Johnson leads at 1.50/set).
-Freshman libero Sydney Petersen has doube-digit digs in all four matches leading Texas at 3.81 digs/set. If the season ended today, Petersen would rank eighth on the all-time digs/set during a single season.
-Four matches into the season, Texas ranks eighth in blocks/set at 3.06, only 0.44 behind leader Syracuse (3.50). Johnson is 20th on the individual list with 1.50 and Butler is 39th at 1.38.
