HEAD COACH RYAN MURPHY
On Texas' second-place finish at the Schooner Fall Classic with a school-record 54-hole team total …
"I'm very proud of our effort this week as a team. Top to bottom, it was really solid. We would have needed something extraordinary to catch Alabama. It just wasn't in the cards for us. Our time is coming."
On top-10 finishes by freshmen Hailee Cooper and Sára Kousková …
"Individually, we had terrific showings from our freshmen Hailee and Sára. They showed us a glimpse of what they are both capable of this week. 65s and 66s are somewhat rare for freshmen. I'm very proud of both of them."
On Agathe Laisne's tie for 32nd with a collegiate-best 54-hole total …
"Agathe gave us two nice rounds after struggling in round one. She's getting stronger in every way and I expect great things from her this season."
On the play of junior Emilee Hoffman and sophomore Kaitlyn Papp …
"Emilee and Pappy both played well as usual. Neither would tell you that they are happy with their finish, which tells you where their own standards are. As their coach, I'm proud of their efforts this week and do anticipate both continuing to have chances to win tournaments this season."
